Development Officer – Adaptive Tennis
Enrique González, in charge of promoting a tennis environment that supports and promotes programs and initiatives that meet the recreational needs of people with physical, mental or emotional challenges, is a former professional tennis player who achieved his best ATP ranking in singles of 1324. As a junior, he was ranked among the top 5 players in the Venezuelan national ranking and participated in his country’s university tennis circuit, becoming champion in the state, regional, and national games in singles and doubles.
Enrique holds numerous international certifications, during a coaching career that includes being the Head Pro of MatchPoint Tennis Academy in Atlanta, GA USA and collaborating with nonprofit organizations; Achilles Venezuela and the Dimitri Badra Foundation among others. He is currently the Director of TPS (Tennis Project Service), headquartered at the Dubai International Academy, in the United Arab Emirates, working adaptive tennis with the philosophy that the game of tennis can be adapted to accommodate any age, environment, condition, or disability.
